1-on-1 Sessions for Parents & Other Adults
This offering is comprised of two 30-60 minute calls which are designed to be beneficial for various adults.
Book a 2-part 1-on-1 session if you are someone or in relation to someone who may need extra support in navigating sexual trauma in a way that helps remove some blockages and limiting beliefs around sex and self-image. While Tammaka is NOT a sex therapist, they are trained in trauma informed care to provide basic steps and tools to help get you started on your healing journey with positive coping mechanisms, mantras, and reframing techniques. On this call they also provide other resources like therapists, programs, and tangible items that can help you deepen those skills.

Sexual Health Initiative: Condoms for Communities (CfC)
Launching in August 2024, Condoms for Communities (CFC) is our condom campaign which aims to spread safe sex awareness and accessibility by distributing free condoms and sexual health materials to our communities.
Join us in our mission to promote safe sex and build a culture of consent and bodily autonomy where radical pleasure, cultural competence, and medically accurate care are at the forefront. This initiative is dedicated to providing free condoms and essential sexual health materials to individuals in the community. We believe in making contraceptives free of charge and easily accessible to all, with a special focus on supporting and empowering Black and Queer teens. By launching on 8/1, our 4 year anniversary, we aim to foster a sense of morale around safe sex and create healthier, more informed communities.

This offering is currated to each group or indivdual’s request. Speaking engagements include Tammaka being booked to speak at your event on the topic of your choosing and topics they typically cover in their work as an artivist. This could look like you booking Tammaka to speak at your women empowerment conference as a keynote speaker, a youth luncheon or awards ceremony, a business gala, or an LGBTQIA+ panel discussion. This offering is for people who have a larger, more formal event centered around a specific topic and/or purpose. This offering can add the right amount of both entertainment and introspection your big day deserves.

Spoken Word Performances
Spoken work performances are more flexible and less tailored to the structure of an individual or group’s event. This offering is for people who have an event that may or may not be centered around a specific topic and is more free-flowing in nature. Tammaka has an arsenal of poems that can fit the vibe of the most casual and formal events. You can book Tammaka for a spoken word performance for sheer entertainment for your office holiday party, wedding reception, divorce party (yes, I was booked for a divorce party once-lol), a live music and open-mic show, or for something more deeply rooted like your annual Juneteenth or Women’s empowerment event. With either direction, this offering can be a whimsical, passion-filled asset for any occasion.
Tammaka also offers commission poems for individuals and groups who want a more custom spoken word experience. If you would like a custom poem created, please note that in the discovery call as commissions are considered an add-on price to this offering.

MEET THE FACE BEHIND YASÉ
Nine year old me would be proud to know that sneaking into my daddy’s shoe closet to get and watch a porn tape was not done in vain.
This move, though scary and super risky, is what I believe to be the catalyst for my inquiry into sex and sexuality. It was through watching pornography I discovered what masturbation was and begin to indulge in that myself at the age of nine. Though my family’s christian teachings told me masturbation or any type of sex outside of marriage to a man was a sin, I quickly found out that was not something I believed. Masturbation was very healing for me, yet also left me with tons of questions and confusion that would go unanswered until my 9th grade year of high school. At that time, I met a Peer Counselor named India White while shadowing her at a youth center providing resources for teen moms. This was a pivotal moment in my life because Ms. India exposed me to different backgrounds from other Black girls my age and answered a lot of questions I had lingering in my conscience up until I met her. Her compassion and directness towards the girls in her peer group made me want to be a source of help and light for other Black girls one day. This sparked my interest in being a sex educator and having candid conversations with youth about reproductive rights, sex, systems, identity and desirability politics, etc. I knew from then I would grow up to be someone else’s Ms. India and I did just that. Years passed of me talking to my friends and community members about sexual health, passing out condoms, and even landing my first job as a sex educator at Sowing Seeds into the Midlands in my hometown, Columbia, South Carolina.

YASÉ is currently an online platform that offers services and products in person and digitally. We do not have a physical location YET, however, are working and manifesting towards one in the near future.

Absolutely not! Though YASÉ was birthed in Columbia, South Carolina, we are open to serving any demographic of youth in the United States. We are also open to international travel to connect with our communities globally.

We will offer adult workshops and youth workshops as frequently we can within our physical and mental capacity. Our frequency of providing services is usually high. The frequency in offering adult workshops can be fluctuate depending on the requestor’s budget, scheduling, and weather conditions if the workshop is being held in-person. We do our very best to make sure we are aligned with every client before confirming any workshops, and usually are able to fulfill 90% of the requests we receive.
